Happy Birthday, Beez!

Image
It's official: We've celebrated more birthdays without Rowan than with him. He would have been 7 years old today. Rowan's actual birthday was a day of pure happiness, excitement and joy. We knew our lives were going to change, but we had no idea just how much. We expected his birthday to be the beginning of the rest of our lives. And it was...just not the way we imagined. He was the sweetest baby...pure innocence and goodness rolled into one beautiful blue-eyed boy. We are so grateful that we were able to celebrate three wonderful birthdays with him. Our hearts are fuller because of him. We're better parents because of him. We love you, Beez!

Lost and Found

Please excuse my lack of posting! I "lost" my camera for a few weeks only to discover that it was buried deep in the diaper bag. I was disappointed that I couldn't capture any Thanksgiving images, but I'll try to make up for it with lots of Christmas pictures this coming weekend! Here are some photos of Brixton hanging out with his buddy Andrew in the beginning of November. And Brixton's fascination with hair continues... Fast forward to December... I don't know who this kid is, but he's definitely not my little baby boy! He grew up overnight! Lucy had a wonderful baptism with her other cousin, Kainalu. Here's a shot of her with her Godparents, Kristin & Rudy. Isn't she beautiful in her white dress? Brixton had a doppelganger at the baptism - he showed up and Lucy's cousin Mateo was already wearing his outfit!!! Our worst fear - and it even happens to toddlers! Here he is having fun with Kristin. After the baptism, we went home to decora

My birthday weekend started off wonderfully with a Jewel concert. Mom watched Brixton for us and we went with Delia and Angela to check out the first concert at Western Metal (in PETCO park). Enjoy the pix! Wait, there is only one picture you ask? Yup, that's mainly because Jewel didn't show up. She was sick - boo!!! We spent a leisurely Saturday morning just lolling around in the backyard. It was a gorgeous morning! Saturday evening we met with Sarah Tolson to take our family photo for our holiday card. Needless to say, Brixton knew we were up to something because he did NOT cooperate. No matter how hard we tried, we couldn't get him to sit still for one second. Nothing made him happy. He was a complete fussybottom. However, that did NOT stop him from being absolutely adorable once we got home. What a ham! This is Brixton saying "cheese" for the camera, can you tell? Kisses for Daddy! And kisses for Mommy! On Sunday, we put Brixton to work - once again! We f
