We went to a baby shower and they had a bouncy house for all the kids. There weren't that many kids using it though, so Lily was nice enough to take Brixton in there for his first time. He LOVED it! I know, I know...Brixton isn't wearing any pants. It was SUPER hot and he was wearing jeans so I just decided to take them off. A bit trashy, but we were around family ;) The next day, we had Lucy's birthday party at Hacienda Hughes. It was a pirate theme, and true to form, Dad had to create something EXTRAVAGANT for the kids to enjoy. So he drew a giant cardboard cutout of a pirate...complete with a 3D bird and doubloons! It was a rather hot weekend, so all of the cousins were invited over to The Cannington Manor to have some fun in the sprinklers and splash pool. They had such a great time! I don't know if you can tell from these pictures, but the entire front of Brixton is completely drenched. And Fisher is positively dripping. Obviously, Lucy was dominating at the water games. So we decided to do the smart thing and actually put the kiddos in their bathing suits. Ah, much better! Don't even ask what the broom was doing near the sprinkler...let's just say that it became quite the weapon! Yes, there are two brooms. Actually, there are three brooms. Equal opportunity housework! We spent most of the 4th of July weekend doing a lot of playing around and hanging out with family and friends. Our friends have a condo right in Pacific Beach so we went over there to hang out and BBQ. Doesn't Brixton look like a model? Kisses for Brixton! Huggies (or headlocks) for Brixton! This was Brixton's first time in sand and he loved it! I don't think he's the only one who loved it... I think Lucy's trying to make sand angels! I know what you're thinking...who lets their kid wear white to the beach??? I'm crossing my fingers that bleach will make them white again! No, Brixton - that is NOT your sippy cup! Aren't they a handsome pair? The following weekend we went up to Canyon Lake for Kaiya's 5th birthday party. It was a verrrry warm day but everyone was able to cool off in the lake.
