We can hardly believe that Brixton is ONE year old! I only worked a half day and we spent some quality time together. I gave Brixton his present... ...which he was very happy with! And then I put him to work! After he helped me clean house, the whole fam damily came over to help us celebrate. We had quite a few presents leftover from his birthday party which we saved for him to open. But it's really hard to maintain a 1-yr old's interest too long... Soon he was getting into trouble with Lucy...I'm 99% positive that Brixton knows he's not allowed on the hearth! And then it was time for some yummy cake! This is the candle we used for Rowan's first birthday - I think this will be a tradition. We know how special these birthdays are :) It didn't take Brixton too long to figure out what to do with this cake! I think he could hardly believe his good luck! Ah, the sugar kicks in! Want some, Mommy? Hooray for birthdays!

Brixton's First Ever Birthday party was a huge success! Doesn't our little man look so grown up? He had such a blast! So many people came by to help us celebrate that I didn't get pictures of everyone, but here are some of the highlights: USA was playing Ghana in the World Cup the same time we had Brixton's party. Gerald was nice enough to bring a TV so no one would miss the game! And no party can be complete without the pinata! Too bad Brixton wasn't that interested :( Don't worry...Bella, Lucy and all the other kids stepped up to help out! There were some minor technical issues with the "hanging" but the guys took care of it! Not all of the kids had a chance to hit the pinata, but I don't think anyone was too worried about it - all they wanted was the candy!
