Opa Lou

Image
Opa Lou came to meet Brixton the weekend after Christmas. Although he only stayed with us one night, he was able to come over to the Cannington Manor to watch the Raider game. Take note of the Raider socks! Lucy was nice enough to share her pink soccer ball. Perhaps a future soccer player? Watch out, David Beckham! I guess we'll have to teach him not to eat the soccer ball!

Brixton's First Christmas

Image
We had such a perfect Christmas morning. We got to sleep in a bit and didn't get out of bed until almost 9am. We quickly made our coffee (with a bit of Kahlua) and settled in at our stations. I set up our little tripod so we could video the entire unwrapping of presents. It took all of 18 minutes...and boy, did we stretch it out as much as possible! Of course, Brixton had the honors of opening the first present. Don't worry, Pixel wasn't left out. She got her own present...and why is Brixton more interested in her than his new toy? Even though we said we weren't exchanging presents, Tzaddi and I got each other a few gifts: We got Pixel some silly Christmas pajamas...isn't it ridiculous to see such a big dog dressed up in clothes? We went over to Mom and Dad's later in the afternoon to eat delicious prime rib and ham for dinner. Isn't this a pretty picture of Nana and Brixton? Look at the smile on Nana's face!!! Did you notice that Brixton is sitting u

Nick's Christmas Eve Birthday

Image
Poor Nick. He was born on Christmas Eve. He has one of the worst birthdays ever...unless you're Jewish, I guess! Delia always has a Pancake Breakfast for Nick and starts cooking at 7:30 in the morning. Mimosas are flowing and it's a great way to kick off a birthday... and the holiday weekend. When we first arrived, this is what Lucy said to me: "Cira, let me clear this spot...and I'm going to sit here...and Brixton will sit there...and you go get your camera!" So I got these pictures at her request: I turned around after taking the picture of Brixton in the swing and Mom was holding a bearded dragon. I mean, who brings reptiles to a birthday party??? And who would've thought that Mom would be the only person to hold it??? Not so shabby for thirty-five, eh? Yes, that is a fire roaring on the television - and don't underestimate the power of visual imagery. It sure does make the house feel warm! Becky & Brixton Lucy wearing my sunglasses. Rudy, Kr

Uncle Ilja & Aunt Ingrid

Image
Ilja and Ingrid came to meet Brixton for the first time last weekend. We were lucky enough to have them stop by on their way to NEW ZEALAND for their winter vacation. Of course, Brixton was an absolute angel the entire time they were here. Unfortunately for Ingrid, Brixton didn't poop once...so Ilja never had to change a poopy diaper! Here are some photos that Ingrid took with her new and amazing camera when the guys went to play disc golf on Sunday morning. Aren't these photos great? Twins... I realized on the morning that they were leaving that we hadn't taken one shot of them with Brixton during their entire visit. Hence the sleepy eyed 7am shot: At least I have proof that they held Brixton when he was a baby!
