Halloween Fun

For us, the Halloween festivities began last week when we went to a party hosted by Krudy.
It was a bit of a costume-test-run.
We dressed Brixton in his little lemur costume and hoped that he would keep his hat on for more than 2 minutes.
I think he made it 3 minutes...long enough to snap a few pictures!

Nick & Delia made Lucy's entire costume (well, except the boots).
Don't you think she makes an excellent astronaut?

Here is Brixton saying "cheese" for me while I took a photo.

He made a few friends at the party...

...but for some reason they didn't feel like socializing!

Even though it was a last minute trip, we made it over to Bates Nut Farm.

Remember last year? We actually had to prop him up next to the pumpkins!
Not the case this year - he could hardly contain his excitement!

After about 20 minutes of picking pumpkins, Brixton realized that he could run and run and no one would stop him:

I tried to get him to take a picture with me, but I couldn't get him to slow down!

After he ran himself silly, we sat down to listen to some zydeco music.

Once again, we went over to Hacienda Hughes to do our trick-or-treating.
The kiddos hung out on the couch while we fixed dinner.

Time for costumes!

Here's a better shot of the back of Lucy's costume:

Brixton didn't quite understand the concept of trick-or-treating.

He either tried to give away my chapstick, throw pretzels at people, or steal rocks from yards.
Although it didn't really matter - he had the most fun running in the dark!

Can you tell Brixton was sweating by the time we got home?
Look at his wet hair!

Since Nana Noni knows that Brixton can't have any candy, she was smart enough to give him a small treat bag. He was happy with his loot!
How do you like the Raiders beanie?
We're all happy with our current position of being 2nd in the AFC West!
