Happy Father's Day!

We had a great Father's Day Weekend!

It started off on Friday when I picked up Brixton from Nana Noni's. He was playing outside with Lucy when he came upon a miniature broom.
It was love at first sight!

I know it looks like Lucy is trying to give Brixton a hug, but I'm pretty sure this was the start of a headlock. She was trying to lure him with her sweetness so she could steal the broom ;)

On Saturday night, the whole fam-damily got together to take a family photo.
This was such a great shot of Delia & Brixton but I forgot to turn on the flash.
So I made it into a B&W and it looks great (if I do say so myself)!

Ah, much better...I remembered the flash!

Lucy walked over to Brixton and just slung her arm around him. Brixton looked at her and then he offered her one of his peas.

I just love that they love each other!

Lucy really likes to squeeze Brixton's "subby subby sheeks".

On Father's Day, we all went over to our friend Clarissa's house to watch the Brazil game.
I think Brixton was a little too interested in Nick's Tecate...

The rest of the day passed by in a relaxing blur...doing absolutely nothing (which is what Tzaddi wanted to do).
After bath time, I realized that I hadn't taken any pictures of Tzaddi with Brixton...Bad Mom!

I'm pretty bummed that I cut off their heads in this picture...Brixton looks so happy with his Daddy!
I'm so lucky :)

Lucy Turns Three!

We went to a baby shower and they had a bouncy house for all the kids. There weren't that many kids using it though, so Lily was nice enough to take Brixton in there for his first time. He LOVED it! I know, I know...Brixton isn't wearing any pants. It was SUPER hot and he was wearing jeans so I just decided to take them off. A bit trashy, but we were around family ;) The next day, we had Lucy's birthday party at Hacienda Hughes. Saturday Morning Sweetness

On Saturday morning, Tzaddi went to play disc golf for the first time in 3 months and Brixton and I stayed home. Brixton was in such a good mood and he was so chatty! Of course, this is his usual expression...I think he frowns on purpose so that I'll smile at him and then he can smile back! Pixel has become increasingly interested in Brixton. She likes to see just how close she can get before we yell at her. She also really likes trying to lick his face without us knowing. Luckily, I caught it on camera! Although Brixton doesn't look too upset, does he? Now, this is a rather lengthy video and you have to listen to my horrible singing but I promise you it's worth it! We were listening to B is for Bob and Brixton enjoyed the impromptu live concert.

It's Been Three Years

It's been exactly three years since Rowan passed away. It feels like yesterday. In just a bit over a month from now, Rowan will have been gone longer than he was here. We still miss him more than words can say. He taught us so much: How to love How to be loved Compassion Empathy Hope Gratitude Rowan will always be our first child. Rowan will always be Brixton's big brother. I can tell you exactly how we spent every hour on this same day three years ago. I can tell you how the final roller coaster started four days ago...three years ago. I remember making the call to my family; telling them to come right away.
