We went to a baby shower and they had a bouncy house for all the kids. There weren't that many kids using it though, so Lily was nice enough to take Brixton in there for his first time. He LOVED it! I know, I know...Brixton isn't wearing any pants. It was SUPER hot and he was wearing jeans so I just decided to take them off. A bit trashy, but we were around family ;) The next day, we had Lucy's birthday party at Hacienda Hughes. It was a pirate theme, and true to form, Dad had to create something EXTRAVAGANT for the kids to enjoy. So he drew a giant cardboard cutout of a pirate...complete with a 3D bird and doubloons! Kaiya and Delia A very fun potato sack race! Pinata time! Here's Lucy enjoying her loot while she waits patiently to open her presents...I think Brixton is wondering where his candy is! Look at the plane! Brixton was very happy to sneak some of Fisher's blueberries! A potato sack race just for Lucy and Brixton! Delia is attempting to make a ...
We had a fantastic New Year's Eve; Nana Noni took the grandkids for their annual NYE Sleepover. Here's a pix of the kids at "midnight": Since we were kid-free, we went to see The Hobbit at Cineopolis with Angela and Dan. It was super swanky and we determined that we will continue to see our annual movie at this theater. Those seats are awesome! New Year's Day was celebrated at THE BEACH! Toni & Marc took their trailer down there a couple days after Christmas for an entire week. They were so fortunate to have fantastic weather...the temperature was a nice 73 degrees when we were there! The kids (as usual) had a blast and we had a fantastic time. What a way to celebrate the New Year! In cancer-related news, I was supposed to have my second chemotherapy treatment today (Tzaddi's birthday) but it was cancelled. Unfortunately, our insurance changed on 1/1 and all autho...
I had an appointment with my Oncologist (he is the most awesome doctor ever) and we had a great visit! He said I'm healing well and ready to start chemo next Thursday, December 12th. I still don't have the results from the Oncotype test, but assuming I rate in the Medium category (score of 18-30) then I will be getting 4 treatments 3 weeks apart of Taxotere and Cytoxan . It's a pretty standard treatment, and more of the details (including side effects) can be found by clicking here . If I come back with a High risk (score 31-100) then we will revisit the plan. He will probably add in Adriamycin and the treatment duration/dosage will change (although it's standard with this drug combo ). Want to hear some great news? NO RADIATION! Woot Woot! I am super ready to get this show on the road and can't wait to start. Next week is already looking pretty busy: I have a Chemo Education class on Tuesday and get...
