Welcome, Baby Nico!

On Saturday, I threw Delia a baby shower to welcome Baby Nico into the world.  I had the shower planned the second Delia said she THOUGHT she might be pregnant back in March.  And I mean I had it planned: the games, theme, decorations, menu, etc.  And with a few minor modifications, it went off exactly as I had hoped.  
Of course, at the time we had no idea that I would be trying to plan a shower for Delia while preparing for a breast cancer diagnosis.  Delia told me many times that we could cancel or postpone the shower until I felt better but there was NO way I would let that happen.  

As you can see, we had an awesome time!  



We played Pin-the-Sperm-on-the-Uterus.  The fantastic uterus was courtesy of Dad; I told him he should well those on Etsy!

Yes, her water broke before the shower and she still partied on.  After all that work I wouldn't have let her have the baby before the party!

We went to visit him in the hospital on Sunday...he's about 15 hours old in these pictures!

The boys were sooooo happy to hold him.

Yes, Sawyer demanded that we take a picture of him climbing.  I guess he couldn't stand Nico getting all the attention!

I like to think that he came so early to make sure I got a chance to hold him before my surgery!

Lucy Turns Three!

We went to a baby shower and they had a bouncy house for all the kids. There weren't that many kids using it though, so Lily was nice enough to take Brixton in there for his first time. He LOVED it! I know, I know...Brixton isn't wearing any pants. It was SUPER hot and he was wearing jeans so I just decided to take them off. A bit trashy, but we were around family ;) The next day, we had Lucy's birthday party at Hacienda Hughes. Saturday Morning Sweetness

On Saturday morning, Tzaddi went to play disc golf for the first time in 3 months and Brixton and I stayed home. Brixton was in such a good mood and he was so chatty! Of course, this is his usual expression...I think he frowns on purpose so that I'll smile at him and then he can smile back! Pixel has become increasingly interested in Brixton. She likes to see just how close she can get before we yell at her. She also really likes trying to lick his face without us knowing. Luckily, I caught it on camera! Although Brixton doesn't look too upset, does he? Now, this is a rather lengthy video and you have to listen to my horrible singing but I promise you it's worth it! We were listening to B is for Bob and Brixton enjoyed the impromptu live concert.

Happy Birthday, Tzaddi!

We went to Shakespeare Pub & Grille for Tzaddi's birthday lunch on Saturday. Yes, folks...Tzaddi turned 32 - can you believe it??? I know this picture isn't great because of the sun, but it gives you an idea of how beautiful it was! At least I made up for it with this one: Mom and Dad came over in the evening to give Tzaddi a birthday present. Brixton wasn't too interested, though - I think he got too spoiled at Christmas! Lucy likes playing with all of Brixton's toys and doesn't mind sharing...sometimes! Where does she think she's going with his toy??? She doesn't look guilty at all! Mom offered to watch Brixton and Lucy so we could go out to dinner. I don't think they look too upset... Here we are at Shogun's . They gave Tzaddi a birthday hat and made him do a dance before he could eat his free (and awful) vanilla ice cream.
