Weekend Fun

The weekend passed in a blur!
On Friday, I made the overdue visit to my work peeps at Petco 
so everyone could meet Brixton.  
It was fun - but it reminded me that I only have 5 weeks left of maternity leave.  
Too sad...




Later that evening, Tzaddi and I had our first "alone night" since Brixton was born.  Nana Noni and Poppy Tops were nice enough to watch him for us while we had some much needed quality time.  Although Brixton wasn't too happy about being separated, he did pretty well for his first night without us!

On Sunday, Tzaddi and I double dated with Delia and Nick.  
We went to the Summer Pops to see Burt Baccarach - it was awesome!  
When we got back home, the adorable faces of Little Lucy and Brixton Button  
were there to greet us.  Aren't they sweet?

Lucy Turns Three!

We went to a baby shower and they had a bouncy house for all the kids. There weren't that many kids using it though, so Lily was nice enough to take Brixton in there for his first time. He LOVED it! I know, I know...Brixton isn't wearing any pants. It was SUPER hot and he was wearing jeans so I just decided to take them off. A bit trashy, but we were around family ;) The next day, we had Lucy's birthday party at Hacienda Hughes. It was a pirate theme, and true to form, Dad had to create something EXTRAVAGANT for the kids to enjoy. So he drew a giant cardboard cutout of a pirate...complete with a 3D bird and doubloons! Happy Birthday, Tzaddi!

We went to Shakespeare Pub & Grille for Tzaddi's birthday lunch on Saturday. Yes, folks...Tzaddi turned 32 - can you believe it??? I know this picture isn't great because of the sun, but it gives you an idea of how beautiful it was! At least I made up for it with this one: Mom and Dad came over in the evening to give Tzaddi a birthday present. Brixton wasn't too interested, though - I think he got too spoiled at Christmas! Lucy likes playing with all of Brixton's toys and doesn't mind sharing...sometimes! Where does she think she's going with his toy??? She doesn't look guilty at all! Mom offered to watch Brixton and Lucy so we could go out to dinner. I don't think they look too upset... Here we are at Shogun's . They gave Tzaddi a birthday hat and made him do a dance before he could eat his free (and awful) vanilla ice cream. It's Been Three Years

It's been exactly three years since Rowan passed away. It feels like yesterday. In just a bit over a month from now, Rowan will have been gone longer than he was here. We still miss him more than words can say. He taught us so much: How to love How to be loved Compassion Empathy Hope Gratitude Rowan will always be our first child. Rowan will always be Brixton's big brother. I can tell you exactly how we spent every hour on this same day three years ago. I can tell you how the final roller coaster started four days ago...three years ago. I remember making the call to my family; telling them to come right away. I remember listening to Tzaddi as he told his family to get on the next plane. Here's a glimpse into our lives three years ago...and perhaps a glimpse into yours.
