A Long Labor Day Weekend

Boy oh boy this was a long and eventful weekend!
On Friday morning we went to La Jolla Cove with Anneke and acted like tourists. It was absolutely gorgeous and we felt lucky to live in such a beautiful city.
Brixton was asleep the whole time but we took a picture with him anyhow.
You can barely make out his tiny face in the stroller!
Tzaddi and Brixton were super pooped by the time we got home!

We went to Delia and Nick's house on Saturday so that Anneke could meet Lucy and check out their house.
This is the stroller we got Lucy for her birthday...we put Brixton in it and Lucy got to push him around like he was her little doll!
Sorry for the sideways video...just turn your head to the side - it's worth the neck kink!

After hanging out at Hacienda Hughes, we all went back to our house for a small barbeque. Mershad came over to visit with Anneke since he hadn't seen her for TEN years!
At one point, Lucy followed me into the bathroom. I asked her if she needed to go potty and she said YES! I put her on and she pretended to go...but nothing came out. She got an A for effort and it'll just be a matter of time before she's peeing in the potty!
We had a relaxing Sunday morning hanging around the house. Tzaddi took Anneke to the cemetery to visit Rowan and I stayed home with Brixton. Afterwards, we went to Carleen's house to celebrate Bryan's 50th birthday. After visiting with everyone at the party, we went to Saffron for dinner and then had yummy gelato from Gelato Vero Caffe.

I woke up bright and early Monday morning so I could go out to breakfast with my Mom & Delia to celebrate my Mom's 62nd birthday. Tzaddi, Anneke, Brixton and Carleen took another touristy drive so that Anneke could take more pictures of her on the beach.
We took Anneke to the airport in the afternoon so she could fly back to Portland. We had a wonderful time visiting with her and Brixton loved getting to know his Oma.

After we took Anneke to the airport, we went to my Mom's house for a yummy steak dinner. Darian, Kelly and Kaiya, Erik and Mershad were some unusual suspects who were there to wish Mom a Happy Birthday. We had a great time and I'm pretty sure Mom had a great birthday!

  1. hey fancy blogger, you should try not to put your high resolution images on there, just because i dont want some perv using my daughters potty time for his/her pleasure. I'm considered as "paranoid" in our circle, so you can do whatever you want. Just an idea.
