A Week of Firsts

Brixton had lots of changes this week!  

He moved to his own room on Sunday night...he's now a big boy sleeping in his big boy crib!  It was so sad the first night...but not sad enough to keep him in our room!

Brixton had his 2-month check up on Monday and he had to get his first set of shots :(  Four shots in the leg and some nasty stuff in his mouth; the nurse said that he did very good because most babies spit it out.  He weighed 11 pounds 10 ounces which means he's been gaining about half an ounce per day.  He was 24 inches long - no wonder he's kicking the chair arms when I hold him!

Tuesday night we gave Brixton his first bath in his new big boy bathtub.  He was not a fan.

Wednesday was very busy for Brixton and I.  We visited with the Angstead ladies - and Brixton dazzled them with his adorable outfit straight from the Hamptons. 

 

After gossiping with Toni for a couple hours, we went over to Mom's house to celebrate another Winesday.  We had a blast as usual.  Delia was having a bit too much fun and in her race to refill her wine glass, she knocked over her own daughter.  Lucy was kind enough to stay in position while I gathered hard evidence for CPS.

On Wednesday night, Tzaddi picked up his Mom from the airport.  She is staying with us through Labor Day.  Even though Brixton was very eager to meet his Oma, he couldn't quite wait up for her so she had to wait until Thursday to see his great big smile.  I think it was worth the wait!

Seriously, what kind of goofy smile is this?

After our leisurely morning, Anneke, Brixton and I all went to meet Carleen at Fanuel Park in Pacific Beach.  It was the first time Brixton went to the beach!  Even though I made sure that he stayed in the shade, he still managed to get half of his face sunburned.  Such a bad mom :(
